I believe some UK companies offer discounts to shareholders. Is there somewhere I can find out which companies offer s/holder concessions and how many shares you need to qualify.

No doubt this sort of thing may be found by searching the internet but I do know that all the shareholder concessions, including minimum required holding, can be found in the FOW Calendar.
There is also a wealth of other indispensable financial information.
